a specialised job that takes maybe six weeks a year is that of the AI technician. that person may work anywhere in New Zealand, visiting a group  of farms over a six week period when all the cows that are to be mated are presented for mating to top bulls from NZ and overseas.

The technican may cover as much as ten thousand kilometres during that time in what becomes an endless cycle of travel, inseminate, clean up, and on to the next farm.

Success is when the farmer no longer wants him or her to call!!
