The medieval cave city of Chufut Kale
Simferopol

The medieval cave city of Chufut Kale appeared in the fifth or sixth century AD. In the city people lived Alana. The city began to fall apart after the Crimea became part of the Russian Impenii and residents began to move to other cities with the best conditions. Completely abandoned in the late 19th century. Currently, the city is a ruin.
