A street of Valdeverdeja
Extremadura

This is the first of three pictures taken almost in the same spot. Valdeverdeja is a pure spanish village that was suddenlys left by most of its inhabitants, who ran away seeking for a better life in the seventies. Once 7.000 souls, now there are just 500, but they take care of the village.

So, it is almost frozen in time and you can find everyting as it was 40 years ago.

All these pictures were taken handheld.
