Vejer de la Frontera church
Spain

Vejer is a beautiful whitewashed village boasting traditional architecture and steeped in history. Its moorish feel isn't surprising when you consider the town was under Moorish rule until 1248, when it was then captured by King Ferdinand of Spain.  It subsequently became a defensive border town under Christian rule, and later, in 1805, it witnessed the battle of Trafalgar just along the coast.  One of Andalucia's most attractive 'Pueblo Blancos', it is well worth a look.
