Gigapixel view from the summit of Verdi Peak (elev. 11,077') in the Ruby Mountains outside of Lamoille, Nevada. The summit is on the north side of the impressive Lamoille Canyon with lovely quaking aspens visible below during the fall season. From here one can see the unofficial Full House & Thomas Peaks, Ruby Dome (highest peak in the range) as well as Mount Talbot immediately to the north. The summit area has razor sharp dropoffs including a nice view peaking towards Verdi Lake about 800' below. The approach to this summit was from Lamoille Canyon Road, making for a steep ascent up gullies & other obstacles. There was a bit of haze, mostly blown in from fires burning in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks in California.
