Kuixing, a god in ancient Chinese myths and legends, was originally one of the 28 hosts in ancient Chinese astronomy, namely the first star of the Big Dipper -- Tianshu. Later known as the master of the rise and fall of the article god, then built kuixing Pavilion (floor) and statues worship.
In ancient times, kuixing Pavilion in the Nanhai was a place where people came to worship Kuixing in order to gain fame in the examination. The old Kuixing Pavilion has been dismantled. In 2012, The Nanhai district rebuilt Kuixing Pavilion on the site of an old TV tower that had lost its ability to transmit TV signals.
Nanhai Kuixing Pavilion has a total construction height of about 60 meters and a total construction area of about 2900 square meters. Tower pavilion is based on the traditional Chinese pavilion design, which adopts three-stage treatment of base, body and top. The tower has two floors and is square, and the pavilion has five floors. The facade of Kuixing Pavilion is decorated with the traditional symbols of Kuiguang Building of Xiqiaoshan mountain, and the traditional lingnan cultural elements such as brick carving, stone carving, gray sculpture and color painting are extracted from the local things in Nanhai. It is a pavilion with the traditional characteristics of south China.
