Würzburg - Old City Hall, Grafeneckart
Franconie

The building "Grafeneckart" with ist prominent tower is the oldest surviving profane building in Würzburg in Romanesque style. The city of Würzburg bought this building in 1316. The Grafeneckart is the only part of the city hall of Würzburg that survived - though heavily damaged - the bombing raid on the 16th of March 1945. It was restored in 1950. The rest of the city hall was completely destroyed and it was reconstructed from 1947 to 1951.
