View from the top of Pt. 7933, an unnamed summit within the Russian Wilderness of the Salmon Mountains west of Etna, California. A survey marker from the US Department of Agriculture is dated 1945 & says "Payne Fourth Order". The Klamath Mountains span in all directions spanning up to the distant Siskiyou Mountains, Marble Mountains, & Trinity Alps to the south. From here one can see the Scott Valley, a distant view of Mt. McLoughlin, Oregon, & Mt. Shasta to the east along w/ Mt. Eddy & a poking Lassen Peak to the southeast. Russian Peak sticks out to the south. The next summit to the west is also the same elevation & forms a high glacial-scoured ravine above Big Blue Lake below. Also in view are Albert & Upper Albert Lakes.
