Above a bridge of Bourke's Luck Potholes, South Africa

Enjoy this 1.1-km loop trail near Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, Mpumalanga. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 21 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

Great walkway to some interesting geologic water features. The joining of two river forces over eons eroded the red sandstone of the Blyde River Canyon into Bourke's Luck Potholes which now shimmers full of well-wishers tokens. Named after an 18th century man, Tom Bourke, who had little luck in striking gold, but at least these pits are now catching coins.
