Acropolis late afternoon
Athens

This is a view of the Acropolis in the late afternoon with the sun setting behind the Parthenon. The shadows are long, but the people have mainly left.  What remains has withstood thousands of years of seige, Ceremony, and was dedicated to the Greek God Athena, protector of Athens.
