The Acropolis of Rhodes is located on the highest point overlooking the city. This hill, Mount Smith, is named after the English admiral who oversaw this summit (111m) the fleet during the Napoleonic campaign of Egypt (1802).
Built according tothe religious symbolism, the summit is occupied by the temple of Apollo, and then going down there is a hall next to the wall of the Acropolis and the stadium, both very well restored. The Acropolis is within walking distance from the old town or the port. A walk through some residential streets.
