Cloudy but warm afternoon at Alexandra Palace, Muswell Hill - London
Alexandra Palace is also known as 'Ally Pally' to locals of Muswell Hill. Opened in 1875 this historic building is a landmark in North London.
As you can see in the background there is a signal tower, that is the home of the BBC Tower Station. In 1935 it became the first regular public television service and is still in use today!
Alexandra Palace is a popular venue for concerts in which many famous muscians have played. In 1967 a 14-hour Techincolour Dream event was held at the Palace which was a party that went down in history, the invite list consisted of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Pete Townshend, Jimmy Powell and many many more!
The Palace is now host to modern concerts, exhibitions and the famous ice rink discos. There is also the Phoneix pub and restaurant that although it's refurbished, has been a local go-to for many many years!
