With a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region, in the North of Portugal, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. Just like the great Quintas do Douro, the origin of Quinta do Crasto goes back to far times in the country's history: the name Crasto derives from the Latin castrum and means “Roman fort”.
Anyone who visits the farm today sees an idyllic promontory overlooking the Douro River, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, upon their arrival at this well-kept wine estate, in which the old Quinta do Crasto houses stand out and where includes Casa Centenária, home of the owners.
