Inside the Saint Michael Church in Steyr
Upper Austria

The church of St. Michael at the foot of Tabor is one of the monuments of the Eisenstadt. Unlike other churches, it is in the north-south direction, whereby the main facade is effective advantage. The baroque, the church of St. Michael in Munich was related to construction in the years 1635 to 1677, the Society of Jesus perform, which was founded during the Catholic faith renewal with imperial support 1630 in Steyr 1632 and opened a branch school. Eleven houses were demolished in order (for the church and built from 1657 to 1661 the college tract today Bundesrealgymnasium create) space. Generously sponsored the building of churches, the Lamberg, Bernhard Graf von Thonhausen and the Prince of Eggenberg. Emperor Ferdinand gave 8000 guilders.
