The campsite "El Oso" (the bear) is a wide stone ledge located at the top of mount Auyantepui its name is due to a large rock found on the site that resembles a bear, which also enjoys a strategic location on a midpoint of the trail along the tepui to Angel Falls.
Near the place is a small waterfall formed by the Churum river in its channel, along with a cave that serves as shelter for campers and has also been the starting point of several climbing routes.
