Bali Starlings Project, Green School Bali

Bali Starlings (Leucopsar rothschildi) are beautiful, white birds with black tips on their wings and tails. They have bright blue skin around their eyes. They are found only on the island of Bali, where they are highly endangered due to the bird pet trade. The breading project inside Green School is very successful, and they were able to release several dozens of these beautiful birds back into the wild over the last few years. The Bali Starling is featured on the Indonesian 200 Rupiah coin.
