From Benquerencia depend Ferny site and the villages of La Nava and Puerto Hurraco.Elmas next is La Nava, small enclave of two hundred inhabitants not to be confused with the Puerto de La Nava, the Cabeza del Buey immediately. Next, also on the road, is Helechal, superior core entity with its five hundred inhabitants. Between the two cores mentioned Puerto Mejoral opens wide gap that is the only way through both sides of the mountains.
Puerto Hurraco is about noon, in turn constitute the only practicable way through the Sierra del Oro, which is a few miles south, between Benquerencia, Asparagus and Zalamea. Set on a hill, the settlement consists of little more than a hundred houses and a single street of considerable amplitude.
