We have several reasons to visit the Largo de São João do Souto. The chapel of Our Lady of Conceição was built in 1525 by Dr. John of Coimbra, Vicar General of the archdiocese. The project is from João de Castillo, author of the main chapel of the Cathedral. The Galilé closes a set of Renaissance polychrome images (1525-28). The altarpiece created by the famous sculptor João de Rouão, reprinting Jesus deposition in the tomb
The renaissance chapel of square facade-tower plant, probably work from one of the castillos. The outer sculptures are assigned to Hodart. The altar-mor is awarded the first stage of João de Rouão. The sculpture of the deposition in the tomb is also attributed to João de Rouão, but of posterior period.
