Praça da Sé is the most central and mandatory stop. In the center of the square stands a cross with a torsum column topped by a Corinthian capital and a cross. It was built in 1689, at the time of the completion of the works of the Church of São João Baptista, belonging to the Jesuits, which in 1764, when the headquarters of the bishopric of Miranda do Douro were transferred, was transformed into Igreja da Sé. The facade is simple, with Renaissance portal but already with Baroque influence. with full arch, decorated pilasters and a battlements tower.
