The most extraordinary thing about the Bream Creek Road is how typical it is. The beautiful landscape of Tasmania’s cattle and wine country extends for miles. Located just northwest of historic Marion Bay, where Able Tasman in 1642 became the first European to land on the island, the area’s mild climate is perfect for a number of commercial vineyards that produce some of Tasmania’s finest boutique wines. To the south, past the cattle in the adjacent valley, you can just see the covered vineyards of the Cape Bernier winery where they maintain about 15,000 vines.
