Ján Pálffy built the manor house in 1889 in the romanticizing style. Its architecture contains a set of elements chosen from several historic styles. The main facade of the manor ends in a tall tower with a coat of arms.
The manor house now serving as the Home of the Slovak writers stands in a large English park.
