To mark the Queen's Diamond jubilee Malvern town council commissioned renowned artist to Walenty Pytel to create a sculpture to be sited in Rosebank gardens. What he created was this amazing piece of art depicting two buzzards, birds that can be quite often be seen flying above the hills. This is important for Pytel as he announced that it would be his last piece of major work, though he will continue to create smaller sculptures.
To get a better idea of the size of this sculpture the cameras position is 3 meters off the ground, the same height as the pillar it sits on and even from this elevated position is still towers above you.
I had previously created a panoramic view from almost the same spot but with the unexpected return of winter it was too good an opertunity not to return and capture the buzzards soaring over a snowy Malvern.
