最近把原本的停車場改建為公園觀景台，將草里漁港的觀光價值添增了不少的色彩。

本港因港區甚淺碼頭僅供船隻平時作業使用，遇海況不佳，風浪大時本港船隻多往富基漁港避風，近年來陸續改善外廓設施並浚挖泊地，並於北側填築部份新生地，可供未來發展之用。
