The Jonzac castle gatehouse dating from the 15th century. Jonzac is in the historical region of Haute Saintonge (Charente-Maritime) - Nouvelle Aquitaine - France. Between June 12 and 14, 1963, the French President Charles De Gaulle undertook a three-day trip to the two Charentes. On June 13, 1963 he was at Jonzac castle which preserves on its walls the memory of this day with two giant pictures taken by Henri Sabadel and Roger Dubroca.
