Church of Sao Francisco, Chapel of Alvares Sousa, Porto
Portugal

Upon entering the main door of the mortuary chapel of Luís Álvares de Sousa you are on the left side under the choir. The chapel door has a fourteenth-century coat of arms quartered (In the first and fourth quadrants, five small shields each loaded with five bezants (the side mirrors facing the center). In the second and third quadrants a hand can be seen winged holding a raised sword.The surrounding envelope has 12 castles, the shield inside a crescent "booklet", the helmet facing forward, the insignia is badly damaged reducing it to a fragment that does not allow identification and is only recognizable This coat of arms has an inscription in Gothic font ending on the date the work was completed - 1474.
