“Cloister Schöntal” in the idyllic “Jagsttal” is a former Cistercian abbey dating from the 12th Century. The monastery impressed by the monumental appearance and the variety of buildings from the Middle Ages to the Baroque. The imposing appearance comes from Abbot Benedict Knittel (1650-1732). The New Abbey, the convent and the church were created in his tenure.
