COP15 Sustainable Space 20091216
Copenhagen

A 4,5 meter high satellite in natural size is displayed at Kongens Nytorv (literal translation: The Kings New Square) during the COP15 climate conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. The satellite is part of an exhibition on the importance of space research with regard to the climate.

The satellite is a model of a Cryosat-2 satellite, that will be launched next year 700 km. above the globe. Along with other satellites it will monitor climate changes from space.

A hand held panorama, forced by the rain and snow we've had during the climate conference.
