Gigapixel view from the summit of Craggy Peak (elev. 8,100'), the highest point in the Scott Mountains south of Callahan, California. From here one can see views of the Scott Valley to the north, east to China & South China Mountain, Mount Eddy, Mount Shasta, & south to Billy Peak & the red & white Trinity Alps. West views include high granite peaks of the Russian Wilderness & more peridotite mountains of the Marble Mountain Wilderness. The summit once housed a fire lookout since at least 1915 but it has been long removed w/ the nearby Bolivar Lookout completed further down the mountain on a precipice.
