House of Educational Society "Vuk Karadzic" was built in the early 1930's and was supposed to serve for cultural improvement of the people of this region. Dubbed "Vuk Cultural Center" (in the honor of Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic great reformer of Serbian language born in Trsic a village near Loznica) it was opened in 1937. Decorative street facade is covered with symmetric ornaments, with the representative staircase in the fornt of the building. The whole street facade is framed by very striking stepped pilasters. This building is under state protection as a monument of national worth. Since its foundation, Cultural Center of Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic is the only building with this purpose in Loznica. There is a hall with capacity of 320 seats in this house which is used as a theater and cinema. Theatrical repertiore regularly includes performances of professional theaters form Belgrade, Novi Sad, Krusevac, Zajecar, Kikinda, Banja Luka and other cities from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to regular theater program cinema department of Vuk's Cultural Center presents in regular terms films of Serbian and foreing production. The regular activities of this Cultural Center are programs that are deigned for audiences with different interests and ages. In the Gallery "Mina Karadzic" exhibitions of the most prestigious modern artists are held.
