Deia  is seen by many as being the cultural centre of Majorca., here you are more likely to find musuems and art galleries then  bars and discos  It has a well established reputation as being a magnet for artists, poets ,writers, musicians and celebrities for example:  Robert Graves,Mati Klarwijn,the late princess Diana and the musician Tony Payne.

Worthwile to visit is the very attractive and charming cala de deia. There is a small road, just after you left Deia direction Soller , which will bring you to the  beach. Here you can swim, lay on the pebble beach or have a meal in one of  the  restaurants , which offer plenty of fresh fish.
