Albert Mine (interior)
Nevada

This view peers about 100 feet inside the crosscut of the Albert Mine, a former silver mine in the White Mountains near Boundary Peak, Nevada.  There isn't much info however it is one of several mines in Queen Canyon (the more famous being the Queen Mine).  One can see wooden planks marking former ore cart tracks that were presumedly removed for increased need for metals during World War II.  Abundant speleothems are found in this section.  Further in, one can see a near-total cave-in to which one has to climb up the rubble before descending into a narrow slot where the tunnel continues.  I however didn't venture much further past that so it is unknown how much more the crosscut goes before reaching the stope.
