Plaza of Spain: Located in the heart of town, and with an area of 6600 square meters.At its center, replacing an ancient traditional source, raises a significant sculptural work of Enrique Pérez Comendador, entitled "Monument to the water and land, unique in Spain for being symbolized by a stone man and a woman in bronze. Inside lines of the poem are devoted to the Guadiana River written by the physician and humanist Mateos Don Celestino Vega. In your face portico facing east, is located the Palacio Municipal former headquarters of the Bank of Spain "and the Post Office building, oppositional to it, on its eastern side lies the majestic Church of St. Jacob of Renaissance style.
