360 panorama of the medieval port of Dubrovnik and the island of Lokrum taken on Sunday, August 21st 2011 during high tourist season. That's why you can see anchored cruise liners and their lifeboats transferring passengers to the Old Town and back as well as private yachts and sailboats. To the south, next to breakwater there is the Fortress of Sv. Ivan (St John) protecting the entrance to the harbour. A part of the Old Town can be viewed and looking from left to right there is the Dubrovnik Cathedral dome, St Ignacio Church, the dome of St Blaise Church and the City Bell Tower next to it. Exactly to the west there is the Dominican Monastery belfry. The Revelin Fortress protects the eastern entrance to the Old Town, so called Ploce Gate. On the top of Srdj Hill right above the city you can see the rebuilt Dubrovnik cable car station, Fort Imperial and the Cross.
