Dung of Knysna Elephants in Knysna Forests

We came across this Elephant dung in the Knysna Forests, near Forest Edge Cottage, near Rheenendal, Knysna.

This is proof enough to me that at least some Elephants still roam wild in the Knysna Forests.

SAN Parks believe there is only one lone female elephant still in the Knysna Forests, but other believe between 5 and 8 elephants are still around.

The dense Knysna Forest makes sightings near impossible, and very rare. The last sighting and photograph of a wild elephant in Knysna was in 2008.
