Duntulm Castle , Isle Of Skye
Scotland

Duntulm Castle lies in the north Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle Of Skye .

Built in the 14th & 15th centuries , it was home to the Clan MacDonald of Sleat . It was abandoned around 1732 when the then owner decided to build a new residence in Monkstadt using many of the castles stone as building material .

The castle is now in such a poor state that entry to it is now no longer recommended .
