The American Air Museum at Duxford is housed inside a Norman Foster designed Hangar. This building is large enough to fit a B52 Stratofortress with it's 200ft wingspan and 52 ft high tail comfortably inside. Many other iconic aircraft are either standing on the ground or suspended from the ceiling. The building was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1997.
It is like being inside an Airfix Kit Display!
