The Z3 class trams were introduced in Melbourne between 1979 and 1984, marking a significant modernization of the city's tram network. Built by Comeng and Clyde Engineering, a total of 115 Z3 trams were produced. Known for their boxy design, these trams are about 16.42 meters long and can carry up to 90 passengers. Despite newer models, the Z3 remains a classic, reflecting a notable era in Melbourne's transit history.
