The Faculty of Agriculture was founded in 1954 with the mission to educate experts in the field of Agriculture, to develop research activities and contribute to intensifying and increasing agricultural production.

After the foundation of the University of Novi Sad, the Faculty of Agriculture became one of its first constituent members. The Faculty of Agriculture has grown into one of the biggest educational and scientific institutions in the field of Agriculture in Serbia.
