Firkin Point can be found on the west bank of Loch Lomond about halfway between Inverbeg and Tarbet . It has become a popular central point for walkers of all types . It is possible to go for 3 miles north or south from here on a very even surface , so it is very accessible for all .

If you travel north you will pass Firkin cottage which was originally a toll house on the old road which was used by drovers to drive Highland cattle to the markets

To the south , stunning views down the length of the loch can be found just past the headland at Rubha Mor
