Fo Guang Shan Monastery

The Fo Guang Shan Monastery is established in 2011 to propagate Buddhist belief and store and worship Buddha's tooth relic. The main building sits on the axis, with other buildings at its periphery. There are eight towers in the front, great Buddha, the beautiful mountain at the southern side, Earthgod Garden Hermitage at the northern side. It is a piece of great architecture integrating traditional and modern design, with the function of culture, education, enlightenment, and practice. The Fo Guang Great Buddha sculpture is the landmark of the Fo Guang Shan Monastery and is in 108 meters tall in total and 50 meters tall for the statue of Buddha. It is also the tallest bronze Buddha sculpture in the world with millions copies of Heat Sutras stored inside protecting the world and bringing social stability and harmony.
