Granite rock at the foot of the Sierra
Nevada
This photo is taken at the foot of Jobs Peak in the beautiful Carson Valley of northwest Nevada from atop a 30-foot tall granite bolder. Lake Tahoe is 8 miles to the Northwest beyond the massive granite mountains. The switchbacks of historic Kingsbury pass are visible on the distant mountainside to the North.
