Gruensfeldhausen Chapel St.-Achatius in summer 2015
Baden-Wuerttemberg

The Chapel of St. Achatius in Grünsfeldhausen is a double octagon-building and dates back to the Crusader period. As a role model for this country unusual octagonal plan used the Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Another special feature: The Romanesque building stands 3,30 meters deep in the ground.
