The "Goms Bridge" inaugurated in the summer of 2015 is 280 meters long.
The new suspension bridge overlooking the Rotten (Rhone) allows you to go directly from Fürgangen to the village of Mühlebach. In Fürgangen there are some parking lots and a Furka railway stop. At the beginning of the excursion we cross the young Rhone at a height of 92 m.
A circular route passes through Mosshubel and runs alongside wooden irrigation canals, leading to the «Galgen», the historic gallows. In 1447 Ernen was given the Supreme Court of the complete district of Goms. Here not all thieves were subjected to the death penalty, most of them got away with imprisonment or fines, some were ridiculed and branded on their shoulders.
After the visit of the village core, with the church and the "Tellenhaus", the path turns to the right of the road and continues along the slope to the pretty Mühlebach which boasts the oldest historic center of Switzerland with wooden constructions. In the central square of the distinguished village there are the oldest frescoes of William Tell that date back to 1578.
