Hot Creek Geologic Site
California

Hot Creek Geologic Site is a geothermal area of hot springs east of Mammoth Lakes, California.  Alongside the Owens River is this bright turquoise hot spring with boiling water temperatures of up to 430*F deep underground.  The region itself has many other hot spots & past volcanic activity.
