From a nice hike from Alpnachstad up to the Pilatus. The Pilatus cog railway transports a lot of tourists up to the Pilatus. It is the steepest rack railway in the world, with a maximum gradient of 48%. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilatus_Railway

This is now the top of the Pilatus at 6955 ft.
