Hirjauca Monastery / Mănăstirea Hîrjauca „Înălțarea Domnului” in Moldova was started in about the 1720s with first a wooden church and cells and then later the first of two churches was built. The Communists closed it and used it as a sanatorium. Post Communism, the church and monastery was reopened.
Located about 70km NW of the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, there is a famous water spring on site and beautiful forests around.
