Designed by the renowned British-born-but-settled-in-Kerala architect Laurie Baker, Ambadi is the first heritage hotel in the private sector in Kerala. Conceptualised on the traditional architectural splendour of a typical Kerala village, it boasts of even a thulasithara and a nalukettu. The name Ambadi has been chosen by noted film maker G. Aravindan and the emblem for the resort has been designed by Kerala's famous artist Namboothiri.
