Hurlstone Point
England

The view from the top of Hurlstone Point.

From this unusual vantage point right on top of this landmark, which is very distinctive for many miles around, you can see the shingle beach of Bossington to the west with Porlock a little further away and Foreland Point jutting out into the Bristol Channel, and the very secluded Selworthy Sands to the east.

Relatively few people get to see these sands, and even fewer actually set foot on them. The access is treachorous, involving scrambling down steep cliffs.

The ruins are the remains of the old Coastguard Lookout Hut.
