I K Brunel stature under the river Tamar bridges
England
A statue of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the famous English engineer, looks out over the river Tamar underneath the Royal Albert railway bridge. The bridge, which opened in 1859, joins the counties of Devon and Cornwall and carries the London - Penzance railway. The parallel road bridge was opened in 1961.
