The Anastasie Fatu Botanical Gardens / Grădina Botanică "Anastasie Fătu", now named after its founder, Anastasie Fatu, is largest and oldest botanical gardens in Romania. Founded in 1856 and located in the historic Copou neighborhood, it is maintained by Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. The garden's main entrance is on the east side through Exhibition Park / Parcul Expoziţiei. There is a green house on site as well as many natural exhibits of fauna and trees with an extensive and comprehensive rose garden.
